We are playing at the Macbeth on Hoxton St in London tomorrow evening, 19.02.10.
This will be the first time we play in England and should be a nice warm up to our tour with La La Vasquez that kicks off in Belfast on Friday 26th March.

Tuneyards and Gillespie Tonight

We are playing with Tuneyards(USA/Drag City, 4AD) tonight at the speakeasy in Queen's Union infront of what may turn out to be a load of indifferent, drunken students but we are looking forward to the challenge. Intrigued to hear what Tuneyards sound like and don't understand why they aren't headlining, this is Belfast though, and things are done differently here... Oh and it's a free gig.

Afterwards i'd recommend hot footing it across to the Menagerie for the first installment of David Holme's new clubnight, The Bad Books featuring a DJ set from Bobby Gillespie, who at one time may have had the best hair ever.

When I'm with Best Coast, I Have Fun

I've spent all week listening to Best Coast thanks to a mix CD that my good friend Jonny Carberry aka Mr.Cheap Thrill gave me at our show at Jive Apocalypse last Saturday night. I've been meaning to check this out for ages but i'm pretty useless trying to keep up with contempory music these days due to a severe lack of internet. I'm a total sucker for this kind of shit; hazy good time girl group harmonies, scuzzy guitars and minimal garagey drums. Proves my point yet again that girls are generally way cooler than us boys, unless you're this guy of course.
