Making the Magic

Claire took some photos of us mixing the LP the other week. I suppose we'll have to break some news soon...

Felt Corner and The Make Up Manifestation

How cool is this? Dragon Records, Belfast's newest rekkid shop not only stocks the best records in town (including some of our last copies of our Captured Tracks EP) but has probably the coolest wall display ever. That's right, a 10 albums in 10 years Felt sleeve wall. Not only that, there's also a pretty cool The Make Up wall as well with rare posters, one of which came direct from K records a few weeks back to complete the collection. Rumours of Lawrence and Ian Svenonious flying in to officially open their respected altars have not yet been confirmed... or denied!Good excuse for some videos then.

Release Parties

Anyone who has ordered our mini-album out next week on Tough Love will be glad to see that these are almost ready to go as can be seen here.

THESE ARE SOLD OUT IN THE UK. There are only a few final copies available to buy this Saturday night at the Stag's head in Dalston or else in Japan. (Yes, i know, very clichéd)

Also tomorrow night in Belfast we are throwing a party at The Menagerie to celebrate our EP out now on Captured Tracks - better late than never. The Not Squares dudes and J Carberry of Cheap Thrill will be playing records all night long! Details here.

Also thanks to everyone who bought records and shit from us last night in Dublin at the Dum Dum Girls show. We appreciate it so much!We had fun.

We Like Ganglians

Ganglians are touring in a couple of months, but Girls Names will be playing in london the night they're in belfast so we'll miss it, which sucks but you can't complain when actual people in london want to put on your band, which is great of course. One of the sweet things about being in GNs (and JL, and the rest) is getting to play with so many cool people when they pass through belfast, where there isn't much in the way of decent competition for cool support slots. We both love ganglians so would have jumped at the chance to play that show, but I guess it's someone else's turn by now, the fuckers. And maybe we'll catch them in the big smoke if we stick around long enough. They're great for a spring clean on a bonny sunday anyways:

Why does the Rain?

Photobucket

Always fall on me? Belfast is rainy, but today is just taking the bloody piss.
